The Oregon Ducks added another important piece to their 2023 recruiting class on Wednesday afternoon, picking up a commitment from 4-star safety Tyler Turner, from Brennan, Texas.
Turner, who stands at 6-foot-0, 180 pounds, is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 33 S and No. 337 player in the 2023 class.
Earlier this spring, Turner announced that he had trimmed his list of schools down to two, including the Ducks and the Oklahoma Sooners. After taking an official visit to Oregon last weekend, Turner announced on Tuesday night that he would be making his commitment on Wednesday.
Turner choosing the Ducks didn’t come as a massive surprise, since a Crystal Ball Prediction from 247Sports forecasted the decision over the weekend.
The 2023 class is starting to take shape for Oregon, and they’re doing a great job of bolstering the secondary with their recent additions. While 4-star CB Cole Martin kicked things off as the first commitment in the class, the Ducks have also added 4-star S Kodi DeCambra this spring as well.
