Members of rising girl group Aespa have revealed who their celebrity crushes are in a fun interview with Buzzfeed.
The quartet took the “BFF test” that tested their knowledge about each other, which included details about their role models in life, career goals, celebrity crushes and other juicy details.
Giselle was chosen to answer the question on celebrity crushes of the group members. The 21-year-old “Black Mamba” singer guessed it right when she said Winter’s crush was Harry Styles. She also easily guessed Karina’s girl crush – Kendall Jenner, but she failed to guess NingNing’s. She then got a clue from Winter who hummed a track by Doja Cat.
“NingNing likes a diverse mix of music and artists,” Giselle said.
Regarding role models, Giselle said Winter “looks up to no one.”
“Not in a bad way. She just focuses on her own inspiration,” the singer explained.
She also revealed that Karina took inspiration from her surroundings rather than from a specific person and NingNing was inspired by a lot of people, including international singers. However, Giselle once again failed to guess NingNing’s role model without receiving a clue.
“It’s not an artist,” NingNing told Giselle. “I’ve mentioned it once.”
“Your mom,” Karina blurted out much to the delight of NingNing, who replied, “Oh, you’re right!”
When asked what they would like to do if they had not entered the K-pop industry, Winter said Giselle would have worked in fashion, while Karina would be a flight attendant.
The singer added that NingNing “was born to be a celebrity. If she weren’t on stage, she would choose a career in broadcast TV or something similar.”
Aespa performed at the summer concert of “Good Morning America” last month. They were the second K-pop group to attend the musical event after BTS, who appeared at the concert series last year.
The group released their first all-English track, “Life’s Too Short,” in June to increase their international appeal as the K-pop explosion continues to gain ground among global audiences.
