Cult Collingwood cheer squad figure “Joffa” has pleaded guilty to a child sexual abuse charge and has admitted to sickening acts with a 14-year-old.
Jeffrey Corfe on Wednesday faced the County Court of Victoria via an online link from Queensland and pleaded guilty to sexual penetration of a child under the age of 16.
The 62-year-old has admitted to sexually abusing the boy 17 years ago.
The so-called super fan was arrested last year and charged with two counts of sexual penetration of a minor. He pleaded not guilty to those charges in December, 2021.
Police alleged Corfe twice sexually abused a boy at his Coburg home in suburban Melbourne on January 29, 2005.
The Herald Sun reports the court was told Corfe began communicating with the boy via MSN messenger when he was 44-years-old.
One message reportedly showed Corfe used an alias during their communications, claiming to be 30-years’ old at the time, before inviting the boy to his home to have oral sex.
“Do you still like getting head and what do you look like, champ?” Corfe wrote in one message to the boy.
The alleged victim left their meeting “upset” after the oral sex occured, according to The Age.
The boy was left “significantly traumatised” by the offending, the court heard.
Corfe has not been linked to Collingwood in any capacity for several years.
Corfe has had his bail extended and will next face court in February.
His lawyer Christopher Terry has asked the court for a suspended jail term while the state prosecution has asked for a sentence of imprisonment.
Corfe last year pleaded not guilty at the end of the hearing when asked to enter a plea.
A friend of the alleged victim last year told the Melbourne Magistrates Court the victim did not follow the AFL and did not know about Corfe’s celebrity.
