Australia stands just four quarters away from winning its third Commonwealth Games gold medal but in their way is a buoyant Jamaican side that already has their number in Birmingham.
The Diamonds booked a spot in the final after defeating host nation England 60-51 in the semi-finals while Jamaica booked its first birth in a final with a 67-51 win over New Zealand.

No matter the result, it will be the Sunshine Girls’ best-ever result at the Games, eclipsing the previous top results of a bronze medal which they won in 2002, 2014 and 2018.
Australia’s presence in the decider continues the team’s streak of making the final of every major netball tournament since 1991.
While the Diamonds will no doubt go into the final as the favourites, Jamaica proved that the Aussies aren’t invincible after narrowly beating them 57-55 in a match described as one of the greatest upsets ever seen at the Commonwealth Games.
Jamaica will no doubt be relying upon star goal shooter Jhaniele Fowler who has been a dominant force throughout the tournament.
The Sunshine Girls skipper also converted 100 per cent of her 54 attempts on goal against New Zealand in the semi-final.
For the Diamonds, Gretel Bueta will once again be key to their hopes of winning the gold medal.
So too will be the work of defensive trio Ash Brazill, Jo Weston and Courtney Bruce at minimising the impact of Fowler up front for the Sunshine Girls.
