Customers of Mexican food chain Chipotle (CMG) can win cryptocurrency in the restaurant’s new giveaway.
Participants in Chipotle’s “Buy The Dip” promotion can win more than $200,000 in bitcoin, avalanche, solana, or dogecoin tokens that can be used to purchase food and drink items.
To play the interactive “Buy The Dip” game, players need to enter the game website and sign into their Chipotle Rewards account or create one if they do not have one. Here, customers will be directed through the instructions of the game and be prompted to “Play Now.”
Players will have 15 seconds to claim their prize or swap it for a chance at a different prize or try again if they don’t win a prize. Players have three chances to win every day until Sunday.
The game runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT each day through Sunday and can be accessed at www.chipotlebuythedip.xyz.
Prizes include $2,000 in bitcoin for five players each per day, $1,000 in ethereum per day for five fans each, $250 in solana per day for five participants each, $150 in avalanche for 20 fans each every day, and $150 in dogecoin for 20 players each per day through Saturday.
On Sunday, even larger prizes will be offered, including $5,000 in bitcoin for five participants, with one fan winning $10,000 worth of the currency. Five players will also win $1,000 in ethereum each, with $1,000 in Solana doled out to 25 fans and 75 customers winning $150 in avalanche. Dogecoin will also be awarded to 75 players in $150 increments.
Due to the rapidly changing cryptocurrency vales, prizes will be awarded based on the exchange rate on the date of the prize award, Chipotle said.
Participants can also win a 1-cent promo code for guacamole and Queso Blanco.
Chipotle now accepts 98 different digital currencies for payment at its restaurants nationwide with a Flexa-enabled app. The chain first dipped into the cryptocurrency for payment arena back in April 2021 with the launch of its “Burritos or Bitcoin” promotion, which gave away $100,000 in Bitcoin and $100,000 in free burritos for National Burrito Day.
Players of “Buy The Dip” need to be a resident of the U.S. and 18 or older to play, in addition to having a Chipotle Rewards account. One entry per person per day is allowed.
Chipotle is also offering each Reward member a 1-cent guacamole coupon in celebration of National Avocado Day on Sunday with the promo code “AVO2022” for use on the Chipotle app or at www.chipotle.com. The promo code is good with the purchase of any regular entree.
