Class D has won the most points in the survival test on an uninhabited island. “Classroom of the Elite” Season 2, Episode 1 will take the students back on the luxury cruise ship.
On the ship, the students of Tokyo Metropolitan Nurturing High School will get a few days to enjoy themselves. However, a new school apocalypse in the form of a test is about to begin.
The students of Class A through D will get ready for a scrambling test when the much-awaited second part arrives in the summer anime season of 2022.
“Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School seems like a paradise, but in reality, it is an extreme meritocracy. In the class of underachievers, Kiyotaka has begun working with Suzune, who seeks to ascend higher. After a survival test on an uninhabited island, they get to enjoy a luxury liner, but a new class-scrambling test will begin! Will you work for your class, your group, or yourself?” read the official synopsis of “Classroom of the Elite” Season 2, as per Crunchyroll’s press release.
The cast of the anime includes Akari Kitou as Suzune Horikita, Ayana Taketatsu as Kei Karuizawa, Masaaki Mizunaka as Kakeru Ryuen, Shouya Chiba as Kiyotaka Ayanokouji, Yurika Kubo as Kikyou Kushida, Konomi Kohara as Akane Tachibana, M.A.O as Airi Sakura, Mikako Komatsu as Mio Ibuki, Nao Touyama as Honami Ichinose, Rie Takahashi as Hiyori Shiina, Rina Hidaka as Alice Sakayanagi, Rina Satou as Sae Chabashira, Ryota Ohsaka as Yousuke Hirata, Satoshi Hino as Kohei Katsuragi, Souma Saito as Miyabi Nagumo, Toshiki Iwasawa as Rokusuke Koenji, and Yuichiro Umehara as Manabu Horikita.
The second season’s opening theme song is titled “Dance in the Game” and is performed by ZAQ. The ending theme song is titled “Human Drama” by Mai Fuchigami.
The series is based on the original story by Syougo Kinugasa and is produced by Lerche.
Hiroyuki Hashimoto and Seiji Kishi are credited as chief directors while Yoshihito Nishoji is the director. The series composition is handled by Hayato Kazano.
The music is scored by Masaru Yokoyama and Kana Hashiguchi.
“Classroom of the Elite” Season 2, Episode 1 is scheduled to air Monday. Fans in the U.S. can watch the episode online on Crunchyroll. The episode will stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
