LSU won the SEC West in its first season under head coach Brian Kelly, but the Tigers enter their matchup against the Purdue Boilermakers in the Citrus Bowl having lost two consecutive games. The Tigers gave up 50 points against Georgia in the SEC title game, but they’re 14.5-point favorites against Purdue according to the latest college football bowl odds at Caesars Sportsbook. LSU is averaging 32.3 points per game this season, which ranks 37th in the nation. Purdue, meanwhile, gave up 43 points to the Michigan Wolverines in the Big Ten title game in its last outing.

Should your college football bowl picks include the Tigers to cover the double-digit spread against the Boilermakers? And which other college football bowl lines have value? Before making any college football bowl picks on that game or others, be sure to see the latest college football predictions from SportsLine’s advanced computer model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Over the past six-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated a stunning profit of almost $2,500 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen huge returns.

Now, it has turned its attention to the latest bowl season college football odds from Caesars and locked in picks for every FBS matchup. Head here to see every pick.

Top college football predictions for bowl season

One of the college football bowl picks the model is high on: No. 12 Washington (+3.5) beats Texas in the 2022 Valero Alamo Bowl on December 29 at 9 p.m. ET. The Longhorns will be playing roughly 90 minutes from their own campus and will have a huge home-crowd advantage in San Antonio, but it certainly looks like Washington will have the more complete squad come late December.

Texas running back Bijan Robinson has opted out as a potential first-round pick and running back Roschon Johnson and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown also aren’t expected to play. Meanwhile, Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has already declared his intentions to return to the Huskies in 2023 and is going to play in the bowl game after throwing for 4,354 yards and 29 touchdowns with seven interceptions. The model predicts another 300-yard day for Penix as Washington covers in well over 60% simulations.

Another one of the bowl season college football picks from the model: No. 8 USC covers as a 2-point favorite in the 2022 Cotton Bowl Classic against No. 14 Tulane on Jan. 2 at 1 p.m. ET at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Trojans feature one of the nation’s most elite offenses. In fact, USC is averaging 499.8 yards per game on offense this season, which ranks fifth in college football.

USC’s aerial attack has been stellar, averaging 325.7 passing yards per game. The Trojans are also extremely efficient on 3rd down, converting 51.6% of their 3rd down attempts, which could be troublesome for a Tulane team that ranks 57th in time of possession. SportsLine’s model is projecting USC scores 34 points against the Green Wave, helping the Trojans cover the spread nearly 60% of the time. See which other teams the model likes here.

How to make college football picks for bowl season

The model has also made the call on who wins and covers in every other FBS matchup during bowl season, and it says several underdogs will win outright. You can only get every pick for every game at SportsLine.

So what college football picks can you make with confidence? And which underdogs will win outright? Check out the latest college football odds below, then visit SportsLine to see which teams win and cover the spread, all from a proven computer model that has returned almost $2,500 in profit over the past six-plus seasons, and find out.
