Collingwood coach Craig McRae has reiterated his desire for out-of-contract midfielder Jordan De Goey to re-sign with the club.
The Pies’ extraordinary 2022 run ended on Saturday with a one-point loss to Sydney at the SCG.
Focus will now turn to the side’s trade and contract goals, with the Pies expected to be an active club this off-season.

De Goey has drawn significant interest from St Kilda, while Collingwood has reportedly tabled a four-year, $3.2 million deal with a two-year, performance-based trigger.
The Pies withdrew an offer to De Goey earlier this season amid the fallout from his Bali trip during the mid-season bye, but McRae is keen for the Collingwood game-breaker to remain a Magpie.
“I grabbed (De Goey’s) manager and said, ‘Mate, let’s get to work on this’,” McRae said post-game.
“I’ve openly said I want ‘Jordy’ at our footy club next year. Now, I don’t know how that’s progressing.
“Hopefully it’s progressing in the right direction. Not because he’s Jordy De Goey, but I just think this environment is the best place for Jordy De Goey.
“That’s obviously going to take its own course in the next few weeks now.”
Collingwood is also expected to land Daniel McStay from the Brisbane Lions, Bobby Hill from Greater Western Sydney and Billy Frampton from Adelaide.
Young forward Ollie Henry remains unsigned beyond this season, with Geelong emerging as a significant suitor for his services.
Brodie Grundy remains contracted to the Pies until the end of 2027, but a trade to Melbourne is looming as a likely outcome this off-season.
