Multi-million-dollar Australian online retailer, CostumeBox, has simplified the party planning process with the addition of a party services directory, PartyList, on their website.
The directory includes partnerships with over 800 businesses across Australia, whereby customers can browse through businesses by location or service. Business details including email and call buttons are provided alongside descriptions of what they offer and their locations.
Businesses can register to be included in the directory on the CostumeBox website by paying a monthly fee, ranging from $49 to $119.
CostumeBox attracts over seven million visits each year from customers planning or attending events, so PartyList was a logical next step in the retailer’s offering, according to co-founder, Nikki Yeaman.
“We are always looking for ways to be more relevant to our customers, so being able to bring the services our customers may need for those events, as well as the products they are already sourcing from us, under one trusted portal achieves this goal,” she told Retailbiz in a recent interview.
In addition to the introduction of PartyList, CostumeBox has created its own branded costumes, using the data it has collected over 15 years to develop unique and quality costumes at an affordable price point.
“Our target is to grow our vertical range to be 30%+ of our business over the next three years with some licensing partnerships in the pipeline. Our new 70s range, due in store in late January, is our best yet and is already selling well on pre-sale,” Yeaman said.
“We have also added over 9,000 party supply and balloon lines to our range and our new alcohol category launching in January will be the cherry on top of our product offering for parties and events.”
In 2022, CostumeBox experienced its strongest year to date and expects even further growth over the next 12 to 24 months with the return of larger scale parties, events and celebrations.
“As Australia’s largest party and costume store, our focus is on developing our offering to be that one-stop celebration portal, to add party services and alcohol to our unmatched range of over 25,000 costumes and party supply lines.”
