Premiership favourites Brisbane Lions once again dominate the AFL Players’ Association’s AFLW 22Under22 team, which was released on Tuesday.
The Lions – who on Sunday will aim to win their second premiership in three seasons – had a league-best four players in the final squad: Natalie Grider, Jesse Wardlaw, Courtney Hodder and Tahlia Hickie.
It marks the third time in four seasons the Lions have had the most representatives in the final side, which is voted on by fans.

Seven players were picked in the side for the first time – Abbie McKay, Katie Lynch, Lucy McEvoy, Alex Ballard, Jasmine Fleming, Madison Newman and Tarni Evans.
Eligible players must have played 50 per cent of season games and be aged 22 years or under for the entirety of the season.
Madison Prespakis and Monique Conti feature in the side for a record-setting fourth time, with Conti selected in more than 91 per cent of teams.
Geelong was the next best side in terms of player representation, with three players: Annabel Johnson, Georgie Prespakis and Nina Morrison.
