Chef Gordon Ramsay continues to face backlash online after sharing a TikTik video in which he appeared to be picking out a lamb to slaughter and eat.
On Thursday, Ramsay, 55, posted a video of himself climbing into a pen of lambs while rubbing his hands together and commenting on how they will be “yummy.”
“I’m going to eat you! Yummy yum yum,” the celebrity chef said. “Which one’s going in the oven first?”
Ramsay then pointed at a lamb and said, “You!” The “MasterChef” star continued to climb into the pen, which startled the lambs.
Ramsay captioned the post, “The Lamb sauce was still not found in the making of this video…..”
While some were outraged by the video, others found humor in its reference to a 2006 meme from a scene in “Hell’s Kitchen” in which Ramsay asked a contestant for lamb sauce.
“Ok, I am not a vegan or vegetarian, but that crosses the line,” one person wrote in the comment section.
Another individual added, “Those beautiful little babies, what people will do for views. It’s a sad world we live in.”
Meanwhile, others accused Ramsay of animal abuse. “Do you think that grown men should be teaching children on TikTok that animal abuse is funny,” a TikTok user commented.
Amid the mixed reactions, Ramsay later took to his comment section to share an update following the post. “No animals were cooked in the making of this video,” Ramsay wrote.
Since its posting, the video has received nearly 9 million views.
