The IKEA Festival, a global celebration of life at home taking place from 26 August to 10 September 2022, will showcase creativity and inventiveness at home, from around the world.

Built on the theme ‘From Dreaming to Doing’, the festival, which takes place both online and in every IKEA store in Australia, aims to inspire everyone to release their passions, creativity and potential of their life at home.

During the festival, all IKEA stores throughout the country will host free live workshops, events and activities including Interior Design Speed Dating, plant-based cooking demos, indoor plant workshops, IKEA expert talks, Swedish food taste testing and store treasure hunts.

The IKEA Festival will also be online at ikea.com.au/festival where anyone in the world can access inspirational content from leading creators about their life at home, as well as take part in live shopping with items shoppable direct from a live stream.

Sydney has been chosen as host city for the IKEA Festival alongside New York, Stockholm, Tokyo and Paris. On September 3, IKEA will broadcast live from Sydney, to offer the world a glimpse at our uniquely Australian life at home with tips from Sam Evans  on small space van living, fresh ideas from Liz Miu on sustainable plant-based eating, and a live music set on Sydney Harbour.

IKEA Family members have the VIP pass to the IKEA Festival, with a range of exclusive product discounts on offer. IKEA Family members can also scan their membership card when visiting a store for the chance to win one of ten $500 IKEA Reward Cards.

IKEA Australia life at home specialist, Georgia Gardiner said, “There has never been a better time to let ourselves dream of all the possibilities of what home can become. The IKEA Festival shines a spotlight on real life creators and innovators from Australia and all around the world to re-ignite that spark and show how IKEA can help unleash those dreams for our life at home and turn them into ‘doing’.”
