IND vs NZ Live Score 2nd T20I, India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd T20I, 2023.

On Friday, the 29th of January, India will lock horns with New Zealand in the 2nd T20I at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. New Zealand are on a tour of India and will play a 3-match T20I series and are leading the series 1-0.

    India

The first match was forgettable for India, their batting was below par and It was probably the wrong move to exclude Yuzvendra Chahal on a spinning pitch, the seamers went for plenty of runs as well.

The top order seemed to be clueless against the Kiwi spinners. However, Washington Sundar emerged as the biggest positive for the hosts, scoring 50 runs and scalping two wickets for only 22 runs in his four-over spell.

So, moving on to this game, India would like better returns from their batting unit and Arshdeep Singh, who was very expensive in Ranchi. Despite the key players’ absence, team India looks rock-solid, studded with the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Arshdeep Singh.

It will also be interesting to see if Prithvi Shaw makes his much-awaited international comeback in the very first game. He will fight a virtual contest with Gill, Ishan, and Ruturaj Gaikwad for an opening slot in the playing XI.

    New Zealand

On the other hand, New Zealand outclassed India in all departments in the first game. Finn Allen and Daryl Mitchell, who were abysmal in ODIs, surprised the hosts with some sensational hitting.

Devon Conway was at his usual best, Lockie Ferguson, Mitchell Santner struck at crucial junctures. So, ahead of this game, everything looks sorted for the visitors, and they will look to replicate a similar feat in Lucknow.

Mitchell Santner was brilliant as a captain and also led from the front, New Zealand will be looking to seal the series in Lucknow.
