After being selected to All-NBA First Team last season, Devin Booker was in the midst of the best campaign of his career before going out with an injury.
On 25th December, having already missed several games due to lingering injuries on his hamstring and groin, D-Book headed to the locker room after only playing 4:20 minutes of the Suns-Nuggets clash.
News soon came from the Suns camp that their star guard suffered a left groin strain and would not be returning to the contest.

With the Phoenix Suns having stumbled down the standings, Booker’s contributions to the team is even more crucial. Currently on the road, amid a 6-game roadtrip, the availability of the former Kentucky Wildcat will be on every PHX supporter’s mind.
Devin Booker to be re-evaluated after 4 weeks
Unfortunately, Booker is going to be sidelined for a minimum of 4 weeks with a strained left groin, after which he will be re-evaluated.

Apart from missing out on Devin’s services against the Raptors, Monty Williams will also be playing without the likes of Cameron Johnson, Cameron Payne, and Landry Shamet.

While the Suns are obviously shorthanded, Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton will have to play their best to keep the team afloat.
Booker, who was named the Western Conference Player of the Month for November, had been averaging 27.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game before sustaining the horrific injury.
With the Arizona-based franchise facing the likes of the Cavaliers, the Nuggets, the Grizzlies, and the Nets, among other powerhouses over the next 4 weeks, it’ll be interesting to see how the 2021 NBA Finalists fare in the absence of their best player.
