Going undrafted in 2015, Juan Toscano-Anderson couldn’t have scripted a better narrative for his career when he finally made his debut in 2020, playing for the Golden State Warriors. The 6ft 6″ guard filled in the void of Klay Thompson, who was rehabbing from back-to-back catastrophic injuries.

Nonetheless, JTA came off the bench for most of his tenure in the Bay Area, playing an essential piece to the puzzle. In his debut season, the Mexican/American national shot an impressive 57.9% from the field. However, with Klay back in the lineup in 2022, Toscano-Anderson witnessed a decrease in his role.

In the end, it all seemed worth it, given the Warriors winning the chip in 2022. Now a champion, JTA decided to test the waters during free agency, signing with the LA Lakers. Recently, appearing for a podcast on the media channel, Buckets, JTA spilled the beans on the Dubs locker room.

When asked about winning the title, the 29-year-old would divulge the atmosphere in the locker room post-Game One loss against the Celtics, also revealing the chemistry between the Big 3 of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

Juan Toscano-Anderson draws the perfect analogy for the Warriors Big 3.

Though Toscano-Anderson’s time in the Bay Area may have been limited to two years, the learnings obtained shall stay with him forever. Describing the situation during the 2022 Finals, post-Game One loss to the Celtics, the Oakland native revealed how Draymond and Steph helped uplift the mood in the locker room.

“We lost Game One, and Draymond came into the locker room, him and Steph, they’re just talking to us. Draymond and Steph, they ain’t sweating, they not tripping, they like, ‘Man, we had that game won, don’t even worry about, we gonna kick their a**.”

Speaking of the momentum shifting after Steph’s monster performance in Game Four, JTA had nothing but praise for the Warriors’ championship DNA.

“Dray, Steph, and Klay, they’re so experienced, it’s like when they got control of the situation, control of the reigns, it’s really like no shifting the tide.”

“Klay, Dray, and Steph are like lemonade, you gotta have the sugar, the water, and the lemons for it to be the lemonade, if you don’t have one or the other, it ain’t gonna be the lemonade.”

Referred to as the Golden Dynasty, the Warriors have revolutionized the game of basketball with their exclusive style of play and 3-point shooting.

The Warriors bumpy start to the 2022-23 season.

Unfortunately, the Warriors haven’t looked like the defending champions, especially on the road, which is evident from their 3-16 record. To make matters worse, Steph Curry has been sidelined for a couple of weeks due to a shoulder injury.

Nevertheless, there is still faith in Steve Kerr and his crew, given the championship DNA of the roster. However, this is their toughest test up to date.
