BONE, the governance token of the dog-themed community-driven altcoin Shiba Inu, is attracting investors’ interest and very recently, Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama encouraged the Shib Army to vote for the token, so it would get listed on a renowned cryptocurrency exchange platform.
On Wednesday, Gate.io, a well-established cryptocurrency exchange, tweeted a listing exercise with three of the 10 crypto assets, with the most votes getting listed on its platform. Kusama wanted BONE to be on the platform and retweeted Gate’s announcement while urging the community to vote for the governance token.
Kusama has been very vocal about BONE and last month said that they “Love all th3 BONE responses when months ago people didn’t see the vision. Wait until people see the vision months from now… GET IN POSITION.”

While the lead developer was teasing about the Shiba Eternity game card named Get in Position, they were also alluding to how those who believed in the development team’s vision were able to benefit when they purchased BONE early on.
Gate is currently holding an exercise listing where “in this round of candidate voting, 3 out of the 10 projects with the largest number of votes (minimum valid 500 votes) will enter the final Depositing Vote for Listing #2.” The voting period runs from Aug. 1 until Aug. 9, with crypto assets meeting the minimum number of 500 votes automatically entering the final round.
BONE was introduced as a governance token of Shiba Inu’s native decentralized exchange (DEX) ShibaSwap. BONE allows its users to vote on the upcoming proposals of the community.
In other words, the more BONE the user has the more weight their vote carries. There are 250,000,000 BONE and Kusama previously said that it will soon be used in gas fees when the layer-2 solution Shibarium launches.
Initially, only a few investors noticed BONE but with the hype surrounding the launch of Shibarium and other investors beginning to learn more of its use case in the future, it has emerged as one of the most wanted tokens among the Shib Army.
As of 4:15 a.m. ET Thursday, BONE was trading up 23.44% at $0.8605 with a 24-hour volume of $16,307,365 according to the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
