Man Dressed As A Woman Caught Trying To Have Sex With A Dog

A British man who, while dressed in women’s clothing, tried to engage in a sexual act with a dog earlier this year has been sentenced to jail, according to authorities.

Peter Lerwill pleaded guilty to attempting to have intercourse with an animal at Lewes Crown Court in Lewes, England, Thursday, the Sussex Express reported.

The 30-year-old, of Western Road in the English village of Hurstpierpoint, has been sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, police said.

Additionally, Lerwill has been issued a five-year criminal behavior order banning him from owning or having any unsupervised custody or control of a dog.

He will also be on the sex offenders register for five years.

Lerwill was arrested on June 9 after police received a report of a man dressed in women’s clothing who was involved in a sexual act with a dog.

The incident happened in Hurstpierpoint, officers confirmed, according to the Daily Mail.

Following the encounter, the dog was taken to a veterinarian for an assessment.

While the animal did not suffer any physical injuries, forensic samples obtained during the assessment strengthened the case that there had been activity of a sexual nature with the dog, newspaper The Argus reported.

“This was an extremely upsetting case where Lerwill preyed on a defenseless animal. This was also a challenging case which relied on witness accounts rather than the victim, as in most cases,” lead investigator Oliver Robinson was quoted as saying by the outlet.

Authorities were able to arrest Lerwill and complete forensic examinations within a timely manner, which helped secure his conviction, thanks to the “prompt reporting” of information, the official explained.

Lerwill’s conviction means he will be “appropriately managed” by a specialist team of officers for five years “to ensure compliance with the orders imposed” by the court, according to Robinson.

“The dog was able to be returned to its owner, who can be confident that their dog and others cannot be targeted by Lerwill going forward,” he added.

In a similar story that was reported by the St. Paul Pioneer Press, a 48-year-old man in Minnesota was arrested earlier this month after he posed as a minor girl so he could have sex with a 240-pound English Mastiff.
