Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, have a combined net worth of $60 million to date.

Before marrying Prince Harry in 2018, the actress, who rose to fame by playing Rachel Zane on the prime-time legal drama “Suits,” only had a net worth of $5 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. The majority of her wealth was derived from her TV and film earnings.

Meghan was born in Los Angeles, California, on Aug. 4, 1981. She graduated from Northwestern University in 2003 with a double degree in theater and international studies.

Her first on-screen appearance was a small role in an episode of the daytime soap opera “General Hospital.” Throughout her acting career, she appeared in several films, including “Get Him to the Greek,” “Remember Me” and “Horrible Bosses.”

Before her big break on “Suits,” Meghan worked as a briefcase model on the game show “Deal or No Deal” between 2006 and 2007.

At her peak, she reportedly earned an estimated $50,000 per episode from “Suits.” She earned a total of $4 million pre-tax from the legal drama series, which aired between 2011 and 2019.

Aside from acting, Meghan also made money through the lifestyle website The Tig, which she founded in 2014.

She allegedly earned roughly $80,000 per year from the website through sponsorships and endorsements she had received. The website ran for three years.

Meghan quit acting and shut down her website before marrying Prince Harry in 2018. A year later, the two welcomed a son named Archie. In June 2021, they welcomed a daughter named Lilibet.

Two years after their marriage, the two announced that they would be stepping down from their roles and duties as senior members of the royal family and seek financial independence.

In August 2020, they purchased a home in Montecito, California, for $14.7 million.

Prince Harry and Meghan’s children became Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet just after the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Sept. 8, according to The Guardian. However, Vanity Fair reported King Charles III has not made any decisions yet about his grandchildren’s titles.

As of late, the royal family’s website still has them listed as Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and Miss Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor.

According to the outlet, the king is waiting to see what happens with Prince Harry’s memoir and his upcoming Netflix docuseries with Meghan before deciding on his grandchildren’s titles.

Queen Elizabeth, who died at age 96 following a 70-year reign, left a $500 million fortune, and the bulk of this would be inherited by King Charles III.

Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor was born in Bruton Street, Mayfair, London on 21 April 1926.
