It is Mother’s Day. Mizuto and Yume decide to give a present to their mother, Yuni, in “My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex” Episode 5.
The official website has released the synopsis and spoiler stills of Episode 5. Mizuto and Yume are surprised that Yuni is crying as she cherishes the moment.
At the time, Mizuto makes a suggestion to Yume. He wants to give their parents some alone time together. However, it is impossible for high school students to arrange expensive travel tickets. So Mizuto suggests their parents should spend the night alone.
It will be interesting to see how Mizuto and Yume pull this off.
In the last episode, “That’s Not What You’re Supposed To Say,” Mizuto told Yume to go on a date with him. Yume was shocked by the turn of events, but she didn’t know it was all part of Kawanami Kogure’s plan.

They’re also alone on their way to and from school, so…” it continued.
The anime, which is titled “Mamahaha no Tsurego ga Moto Kano Datta” in Japanese, is based on a light novel series written by Kyousuke Kamishiro and illustrated by Takayaki. The series is directed by Shinsuke Yanagi and the series composition is by Deko Akao.
“My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex” Episode 5 is airing this Wednesday. Fans in the U.S. can watch the episode online on Crunchyroll. It will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
