National Gorgeous Grandma Day is marked annually on July 23 to celebrate and honor our grandmothers.
While it’s not known how the day originated, the phrase “gorgeous grandma” came into existence thanks to Alice Solomon, who graduated at the age of 50 from Wellesley College in 1984.
