The Australian Diamonds are faced with their biggest test of the Commonwealth Games so far, coming up against rising stars Jamaica in their final pool match.
Victory means the Aussies would top the pool heading into the semi finals, with their opponent to be determined by Friday morning’s clash between England and New Zealand in Pool B.
But Thursday night’s clash is also the Diamonds’ first real test of the competition, after big blowout wins over Barbados, Scotland, Wales and South Africa.
The Sunshine Girls have the competition’s best players at both ends with Jhaniele Fowler at goal shooter and rising star Shamera Sterling in defence.
The match will also pit Super Netball champion teammates Courtney Bruce against Fowler in one of the most crucial match-ups on court.
There’s a number of teammates on opposing teams, with six of Jamaica’s squad playing in the Australian league.
The match gets underway at 6pm AEDT.
