The members of the Worst Generation drove Big Mom out of the fight but it is far from over. The rookies continue to fight the battle of attrition in “One Piece” Episode 1027. The new episode is titled “Defend Luffy! Zoro and Law’s Sword Technique!”
The official preview trailer of Episode 1027, which was released after Episode 1026 concluded shows Kaido attempting to attack the fallen Luffy.
Meanwhile, Zoro is ready to strike despite his back against the wall.
In the previous episode, “The Supernovas Strike Back! The Mission to Tear Apart the Emperors!” Fukurokuju and Orochi continued their assault as they burned down Onigashima.
Orochi told Fukurokuju that he will burn the island down and annihilate everybody on it. The remaining Nine Red Scabbards were worried about the inferno and they ended up running into Orochi.
As they were getting ready to battle Orochi, Fukurokuju intervened and asked him to flee. But Orochi turned down his offer and started screaming at the opponents. The Nine Red Scabbards announced that all they wanted was to protect Wano Country.
Soon, the battle began as Orochi unleashed his complete Yamata no Orochi form and declared himself the Shogun of Wano Country. Denjiro, Raizo, and Kikunojo led a coordinated attack against the opponent.
Kin’emon sliced off Orochi’s main head as the latter collapsed on the floor.
Elsewhere, Luffy and Kaido were battling on the rooftop. They exchanged heavy blows but failed to connect the hits. Later, Kaido hit Luffy who was able to block the assault.
The attack led to several explosions on the floors below and the Nine Red Scabbards were on their knees.
The episode also showcased the battle against Big Mom and how she was thrown off the roof.
“The returned Orochi clashes with the Akazaya members who are trying to save Momonosuke. Meanwhile, Luffy and the others are all covered in bruises, but they unite their strength and launch an attack,” reads the official synopsis of Episode 1026, as per Crunchyroll.
“One Piece” Episode 1027 is scheduled to air Saturday. Fans in the U.S. can watch the episodes online on Crunchyroll, Hulu, Apple TV, Netflix, and Tubi.
