Paul Heyman has reacted to Riddle challenging Roman Reigns for a future Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match.
During Monday’s WWE RAW, The Miz and Maryse held a Premiere Party for the new season of Miz & Mrs and Riddle interrupted the session. He said he wanted to tell his RK-Bro teammate Randy Orton to get well and come back soon after suffering the vicious attacks at the hands of The Bloodline.
When The Miz mocked Riddle about getting thrashed by The Bloodline, a team comprising Reigns and The Usos, The Original Bro threw a challenge at The Tribal Chief.
“I am tired of fighting Roman’s minions week after week. I want to tell Roman that I want to fight that tribal piece of trash. Since the Head of the Table thinks it’s cool to take my friend Randy Orton out, I’m going to take something from him. I’m going to take the Undisputed Universal Championship from him,” said Riddle, according to WrestlingInc.
Later on, in a backstage segment, Riddle announced that he would come on SmackDown this Friday to battle out with Reigns, according to Cageside Seats.
After betraying Brock Lesnar at the beginning of this year, Paul Heyman has been a loyal partner of Reigns. Reacting to Riddle’s challenge, Paul tweeted, “Those who rebel against the #TribalChief on the Island of Relevancy run the risk at their own peril of @WWERomanReigns dealing with them personally!!!”
After The Bloodline brutally attacked RK-Bro last month, Riddle now calling out Reigns is not surprising.
Last SmackDown in Cardiff, Drew McIntyre challenged Reigns to an Undisputed WWE Universal Title match for WWE Clash at the Castle in September. However, Reigns could be taking on Riddle before that. There have been rumors about the fight between Reigns and Riddle scheduled for the Money in the Bank event.
Even Orton is lined up to face off against the WWE and Universal Champion Reigns at SummerSlam on July 30.
