‘People Think I’m Moving Too Fast’

Mama June Shannon assured fans that she is happy with her husband Justin Stroud amid speculations that they moved too fast in their relationship. 

In the latest episode of “Mama June: Road to Redemption,” the 42-year-old reality star was interviewed by the production team while she was giving them a tour of her new place with her 34-year-old spouse. 

“People might think I’m moving too fast,” she told the cameras. “One, I’ve known Justin, we were friends, we got to know each other, we both needed a fresh, new start.”

Mama June then compared the tattoo artist to her previous partners and pointed out just how different he is from them. 

“Justin isn’t like the other people before him. For once, I’m 1,000% happy. It’s really nice,” she said. 

The pair dropped a bombshell in June when they confirmed that they had tied the knot at a Georgia courthouse on March 23 while celebrating their six-month anniversary as a couple. 

“We’re here today to clear up some rumors. [We] are off the market. Guys, you know what, when you know, just know. … I was really scared of the M-word, but hey, Justin made me not be scared of it anymore because he wifey-ed me up,” she said in a video posted on Instagram. 

Despite being married, Justin is not comfortable saying “I love you“ to his wife. During the episode, he walked in on Mama June’s house tour with the production team and got asked about it point-blank. 

“It’s a little too [fast] — I mean. It’s what I’ve been trying to tell you. If I did, I wouldn’t tell you right now,” he told Mama June. 

“I love you, I’ve got love for you, but I wouldn’t tell you like that. It’s been a month. Hell, you might’ve just reeled me all the way in. You know what I mean?” he added before giving his wife a kiss and walking out. 

The “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” alum was not bothered by it as she assured the team that she’s comfortable with the relationship they share. 

Last month, she spoke with People about her new romance, saying she’s “grateful” for Justin because she has “a wonderful man” in her life.

“Mama June: Road to Redemption” airs Fridays at 9 p.m. EDT on We TV.
