Following two months of Powerball drawings, a player finally matched the winning numbers for the $366.7 million jackpot on Wednesday.
The jackpot, which was the fourth Powerball lottery won this year, saw a single winning ticket sold in Vermont.
The winning numbers drawn on Wednesday, June 29, were 8, 40, 49, 58, 63, with a red Powerball of 14. The Power Play was 3X.
The winner from Wednesday night will have the option to claim their estimated $366.7 million prize through an annuity, which would be paid out over 29 years, or a lump sum payment of $208.5 million, before taxes.
Although one player was able to win the $366.7 million jackpot, there were more than 609,000 tickets that resulted in prizes from the Wednesday night drawing, including one which made its owner an additional instant millionaire.
A player from Illinois hit the Match 5, winning a $1 million. If the player would have hit the Match 5 with the Power Play purchase, they would have won $2 million.
There were seven players who hit the Match 4 plus the red Powerball and won $50,000 each. Meanwhile, three players were able to hit the Match 4 plus the red Powerball with the 3X Power Play purchase, putting their winnings for the night at $150,000 apiece.
The Powerball jackpot will now reset to $20 million with a cash option of $11.4 million. The next drawing will be held on Saturday, July 2.
The latest drawing marks the first time someone has hit the jackpot since April 27, when a single ticket from Arizona won a $473.1 million grand prize.
There is a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the Powerball jackpot. Powerball drawings take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
