The missing infant of a slain Florida couple, who were murdered in Texas, has been found more than 40 years later.

In 1981, the bodies of Tina Gail Linn Clouse and Harold Dean Clouse Jr. were discovered in a wooded area in Houston. Police suspected the couple “were the apparent victims of a homicide” but weren’t able to determine their identities until 2021, using genetic research.

“The Linn and Clouse families have been searching for answers concerning the welfare of the Clouses and their daughter, Holly since they were last heard from in 1980,” the Texas Attorney General’s Office stated in a news release.

Although the family learned the two bodies were finally identified, they were left wondering what happened to the couple’s baby girl, Holly.

On Wednesday,  a news release from the Attorney General’s Office revealed that after more than four decades, Holly, who is now 42, has been found “alive and well.”

Holly was notified about her biological parents and has been in touch with her extended family.

“I prayed for more than 40 years for answers and the Lord has revealed some of it… we have found Holly,” Donna Casasanta, Holly’s biological grandmother, said in a statement.

Although details about Holly’s upbringing have not been shared, the family has said Holly grew up having a good life.

Attorney General Paxton praised the effort of his team and various law enforcement agencies that worked to find answers about the missing infant.

“I am extremely proud of the exceptional work done by my office’s newly formed Cold Case and Missing Persons Unit. My office diligently worked across state lines to uncover the mystery surrounding Holly’s disappearance. We were successful in our efforts to locate her and reunite her with her biological family.” Paxton said.

Anyone with information regarding the death of Tina Gail Linn Clouse and Harold Dean Clouse Jr. can contact the Texas Attorney General’s Cold Case and Missing Persons Unit. The investigation into their deaths remains ongoing.
