Hym and Mystvearn’s battle enters the next phase while Dai’s assault on Vearn continues when “Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai” returns with Episode 87. The new episode is titled “The Deciding Attack.”
The official promo trailer of Episode 87 is out. Hym is enveloped in Aura of Light and is unaffected by the Dark Puppetry Aura Decimation of Field. He is closing in on Mystvearn as the battle intensifies.
Elsewhere, Dai is commanding the battle against Vearn with a clear advantage — his skills and powers. However, Dai feels nervous as Vearn, despite being on the losing side of the ongoing fight, appears confident.
Amid the uneasy atmosphere, can Dai and his friends emerge victorious?
In the last episode, Vearn launched Calamitous Wall against Dai. He could counter it and Leona noted how he was focused entirely on the battle.
However, Leona, who was hanging at the edge of the floating palace, wondered if Dai had forgotten about her. She was worried she might not be able to hold on to the sword for long and fall down.
Meanwhile, Vearn was surprised by Dai’s counterattack against his Calamitous Wall move.
“Dai’s power could match or exceed Vearn’s. Vearn invites Dai to serve him. Meanwhile, Avan and Killvearn continue to fight. Can Avan win against the Reaper?” read the official synopsis of “Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai” Episode 86, as per Crunchyroll.
The cast of the anime includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Dai, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Killvearn, Kiyono Yasuno as Marin, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Matliff, Yuuki Kaji as Hyunckel, Yui Ishikawa as Amy, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Popp, Tomokazu Seki as Hadlar, Tomoaki Maeno as Crocodine, Takaya Hashi as Vearn, Takehito Koyasu as Mystvearn, Takahiro Sakurai as Avan, Saori Hayami as Leona, Mikako Komatsu as Maam, Ai Furihata as Gome, Hiroki Touchi as Lon Beruk, Akira Ishida as Larhalt, Konomi Kohara as Merle, Mitsuo Iwata as Zaboera and Tesshō Genda as Maximum.
The anime is based on the original story by Koji Inada and Riku Sanjo.
“Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai” Episode 87 will air Saturday. The episode will be available on Crunchyroll and Hulu. The new installment will stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
