The filming of the second installment of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” has started just one month after its first season was released on Amazon Prime Video.

The official Twitter handle of the series shared a photo from the sets Monday, featuring actresses Lola Tung and Jackie Chung. In the photo, both the actresses can be seen sitting on the chair, while the crew members in the background work.

“And we’re rolling on season 2,” the official handle captioned the photo. The photo received over two thousand retweets and 27K likes, so far.

“The Summer I Turned Pretty” revolves around a girl who falls in love with two brothers during the summer. How she deals with her first heartbreak takes the story further.

The first installment was dropped on June 17, and is streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The nine-episode series also featured Gavin Casalegno, Rachel Blanchard, Colin Ferguson, Alfredo Narciso, Christopher Briney and Tom Everett Scott.

The official Twitter handle also shared bloopers from the first installment last week. The two-minute, 10 seconds clip features actors dancing on the sets, forgetting their lines and sharing laughs.

“When it comes to bloopers, one reel is never enough,” they captioned the post.

The series is based on a novel of the same name, penned by Jenny Han, who also serves as creator of the show. The book was originally published on May 5, 2009.

Han has also penned books like “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,” “It’s Not Summer Without You,” “We’ll Always Have Summer,” “Burn for Burn” and “Ashes to Ashes.”

Tung, who portrayed Belly’s character, marked her debut with this series. Chung, on the other hand, played Laurel’s character on the show.

She began her career in 2005 and went on to work in several shows including “Finding My America,” “Fortune Sun,” “Deadbeat” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” where she played Cleo Kim.

Chung also played Mom’s role in the movie “Coming Home Again,” which was directed by Wayne Wang and released in 2019. She will be next seen in a sci-fi short movie, “The Translators,” which is helmed by director Louis Ozawa and penned by Paul Grellong.
