BRONCOS’ ORIGIN STAR IN FOUR-CLUB TUG OF WAR

Broncos prop Thomas Flegler is reportedly being chased by the Sea Eagles on a deal worth $675,000 annually over six seasons amid interest from the Titans and Warriors.

The Courier Mail reported Manly have tabled a $4 million offer for Flegler, but the one-game Maroons prop wants to stay loyal to the Broncos.

Off-contract in 2023, Flegler has attracted interest from the Warriors and Titans as well as Manly, but is keen to let his footy do the talking as he fights for a new contract at Red Hill.

“I have been at the Broncos since I was a kid and I don‘t plan on leaving,” Flegler told The Courier Mail.

“For myself, I need to play good footy, more importantly for the team rather than myself.

“You would be lying if you said you didn’t think about it, but I have been at the Broncos since I was 15 and this is home for me.”

The Broncos are keen to keep Flegler and have commenced negotiations, but the 23-year-old is in no rush to sign a new deal.

“I haven’t thought about it (making a final decision) at the moment,” Flegler said.

“First things first is to have a good pre-season and train hard and then I guess we will get into those contract talks next year.”

Flegler has scored two tries in 74 games for the Broncos since his debut in 2019 and played one Origin for Queensland in 2021.
