Takafumi and his uncle, Ojisan, are facing a crisis in “Uncle From Another World” Episode 3.
The new episode is titled “If You Have an Uncle, You Have an Aunt Too.”
The official website has released the synopsis, spoiler stills and a preview trailer for Episode 3. Takafumi and Ojisan are running a YouTube channel, but the number of subscribers is not enough for them to generate ad revenue.
They fear their videos might not get any ads due to a lack of subscribers and engagement. Meanwhile, in the other world, Ojisan remembers fighting a horde of demons with Tsundere Elf.
In the previous episode, Ojisan was worried about the declining number of views and harsh comments on their recent video, titled “Gas Flame vs Ice Magic.”
He told Takafumi they needed to tighten up their budget. Meanwhile, Ojisan was excited about finding out the final result of the SEGA SATURN readers’ choice.
He noted that the desire to see the result kept him going in the other world, which was harsh. Takafumi thought it was a silly reason, and Ojisan ignored him because he was delighted to know that SATURN games topped the charts.
However, he was disappointed that Guardian Heroes was not number one, and he showed his anger by releasing his powers. Takafumi was shocked to see his uncle losing it.
Later in the episode, Ojisan was showcased in the other world where he came to know about a girl named Mabel. Takafumi learned how Ojisan defeated the legendary blaze dragon in the shrine of flame.
The anime is based on the original story by Hotondoshindeiru. Shigeki Kawai is the director, while Kenta Ihara is handling the scripts and series composition. Character design is by Kazuhiro Ota, and art direction is by Yoshito Takamine.
The opening theme of “Uncle from Another World” anime, titled “story,” is performed by Mayu Maeshima. The ending theme song, called “Ichibanboshi Sonority,” is by Yuka Iguchi.
“Uncle from Another World” Episode 3 is scheduled to air Wednesday. Fans in the U.S. can watch the episode online on Netflix. The episode will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
The anime is titled “Isekai Ojisan” in Japanese.
