Takafumi and Ojisan have managed to save the latter’s YouTube channel. The official synopsis of “Uncle from Another World” Episode 4 suggests that Ojisan would be using freezing magic on Fujimiya.
Apart from the synopsis, the preview trailer of the upcoming episode shows Ojisan spending time with the Elf in a bar. Meanwhile, a giant dragon attacks him.
Ojisan and the Elf are likely to team up and fight the beast.
In the previous episode, titled “I’m Your Un–… Aunt, Dear,” Takafumi returned home to find the Elf from Ojisan’s memories mingling with Fujimiya.
Takafumi read an e-mail from YouTube addressed to Ojisan. His uncle was impressed that Takafumi could read English. However, he told him that he was using a translation app.
He went on to read the content of the e-mail, which was related to recent changes to the YouTube Partner Program. Takafumi warned his uncle these changes might leave the latter jobless.
It turned out that YouTube wanted the creators to have 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time to continue monetization of the channel. Ojisan’s channel was stuck at 862 subscribers and they have a day to make it beyond 1,000.
Ojisan wondered that the watch time was high but the subscriber count took a hit. Takafumi found out that Ojisan was rude to the subscribers in the comment section. He was trolling the viewers, which was the prime reason behind the drop in subscriptions.
Later, Takafumi and Ojisan found a way to increase viewership and subscribers in a short span of time. In fact, the next video from Ojisan went viral.
The anime is based on the original story by Hotondoshindeiru. Shigeki Kawai is the director, while Kenta Ihara is handling the scripts and series composition. The character design is by Kazuhiro Ota and art direction is by Yoshito Takamine.
The opening theme of “Uncle from Another World” anime, titled “story,” is performed by Mayu Maeshima. The ending theme song, called “Ichibanboshi Sonority,” is by Yuka Iguchi.
“Uncle from Another World” Episode 4 is scheduled to air Wednesday. Fans in the U.S. can watch the episode online on Netflix. The episode will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
The anime is titled “Isekai Ojisan” in Japanese.
