Hallmark Channel’s lineup of summer movies is coming to an end with new films for a bit before Christmas in July begins, with the newest premiere of the Summer Nights 2022 lineup, “Two Tickets to Paradise.” The film, which stars Ashley Williams and Ryan Paevey, debuts Saturday night.
Fans will certainly be in for a treat since they are certainly familiar with both the film’s stars. Williams is well-known for roles such as the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries films “Northern Lights of Christmas” and “Holiday Hearts,” but several titles on Hallmark Channel. These include “Christmas in Evergreen,” “Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa,” “Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy,” “Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater,” “Christmas in Evergreen: Bells are Ringing,” “Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday,” “Sister Swap: Christmas in the City” and “Love, Classified.”
As for Paevey, fans also know him from Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ “Hope at Christmas” and several other Hallmark Channel titles of his own. These include “Marrying Mr. Darcy,” “Harvest Love,” “From Friend to Fiance,” “A Summer Romance,” “Christmas at the Plaza,” “Matching Hearts,” “A Timeless Christmas,” “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” “A Little Daytime Drama” and “Coyote Creek Christmas.”
Mary-Margaret Humes (“A Valentine’s Match”) also stars.
So what will happen in this film? Let’s find out.
“Two strangers meet on what feels like the worst day of their lives. Hannah Holt (Williams) and Josh Wyatt (Paevey) have both just been stood up at the altar, and as chance would have it, sit down next to each other in the park,” a synopsis reads. “Meeting each other turns out to be the morale boost they need to commit to taking their honeymoon vacations as they try to turn lemons into lemonade.”
Unexpectedly, they then wind up in the same place—and keep doing so. As they start to spend more time together, both realize they may be the key to each other’s ability to move on from their pasts and embrace a new future.
“Soon after they embark, they realize they have landed at the same honeymoon resort and keep crossing paths in tropical paradise,” the synopsis continues. “Josh introduces Hannah to his friend from the past, Alice (Humes), who lives on the island and shares her wisdom with the heartbroken duo. Seeing the futility of fighting fate, Hannah and Josh eventually join forces and help learn from one another to enjoy their vacations.”
“Two Tickets to Paradise” airs Saturday, June 25 at 8 p.m. EDT.
