Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) performer Jeff Hardy was arrested Monday in Volusia County, Florida, for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.

His recent arrest marks the third DUI for Hardy in four years.

Following his arrest, AEW suspended him with its president, Tony Khan, saying Hardy “can only return to AEW upon successfully completing treatment and maintaining his sobriety.”

Who exactly is Jeff, and how rich is he? Here are the answers to those and more about the wrestling star.

Born in August 1977 in Cameron, North Carolina, Jeff, 44, had been on the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) television as a wrestler as early as age 16.

Jeff’s brother, Matt Hardy, is also a professional wrestler. Together they made the tag team “The Hardy Boyz.”

He first joined WWE together with Matt in 1998. He was released from WWE in April 2003 reportedly due to his erratic behavior and drug use leading to his deteriorating ring performance and constant tardiness.

He returned to the WWE in 2006 and was immediately welcomed by fans, earning a ton of belts in the process, including two WWE World Heavyweight titles.

But Jeff left WWE again in 2009 after sustaining injuries. He returned to the WWE in 2017 but had to take time off to enter rehab. He made another resounding return on March 13, 2020, on SmackDown.

Since returning to WWE in 2017, Jeff has spoken openly about his issues with substance abuse.

“This is my last chance to get it right,” he told Sports Illustrated in October 2020. “Since my early 20s, it’s been a rollercoaster ride with addiction and alcoholism.”

In March, he signed a deal with AEW and reunited with his brother Matt to reform the “Hardy Boyz.”

Jeff’s current worth is around $8 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth.

Apart from being a wrestler, he is also a singer-songwriter and a painter. But most of Jeff’s net worth can be attributed to his wrestling career.
